Just in case you’re not sure what the actual goal weight should be,

Here are the 6 steps to weight maintenance, according to the WW website:

Don’t drastically change your eating habits. Keep trying to eat healthy until you get to a weight where you feel comfortable, then you can change your lifestyle.

  1. Set a goal to maintain that weight and you’ll never go hungry. Don’t count calories. You’ll find that you’ll eat less if you keep your portions controlled, drink lots of water and avoid alcohol.
  1. When you get hungry, eat healthy foods that satisfy you. Protein foods make you feel full and help keep you satisfied. Avoid overeating in the evening if you’re starting to lose or maintain your weight. If you choose, you can snack on fruit and veggies. Keep a healthy snack available to you so that you can eat one when you’re hungry.
  1. Limit or eliminate your drinks of choice: wine, beer, alcohol, and diet soda. If you’re trying to lose weight, you’ll want to avoid caffeine or alcohol.
  1. Always eat your healthy snacks: nuts, seeds, leafy greens, and healthy fats like healthy oils. Eat nuts daily or every other day.
  1. Eat every four to five hours to keep your blood sugar and insulin levels stable.
  1. Don’t eat when you’re not hungry: When you’re not hungry, you tend to eat out of stress, boredom or desire for attention. You might also lose your weight for other reasons.
